Designer of the week is Rebecca Minkoff. She is best known for her luxury handbags, apparel, and accessories. Minkoff grew up designing and sewing clothes which gave her enough push to move to New York after High School. Creating her own brand didn't come easy. She struggled after presenting her first five piece collection in 2001. Thus, her brother, an entrepreneur who founded Fortis Software LLC, stepped in and helped her out. Thus, bringing alive her brand in 2005 which quickly became successful after creating the Morning After Bag. You may find Minkoffs brand in Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom.

Mr. Minkoff had connections with fashion bloggers and Hollywood trendsetters which Rebecca tapped into to gain recognition. Trying to expand her apparel and footwear, she lacks in overseas following. However, her brand has a subtly edgy designs for that uptown to downtown girl that has sold millions. Rebecca's goal is to become a complete lifestyle brand for the fashion forward women. With a passion to connect with her customers as well as designing, Rebecca Minkoff has quickly grown to become the an independent accessories designer in the United States.
