BoTan Bubble Tea & Café is located at West Of Ayala on Urban Avenue, Makati. Its at the basement of the building and another branch is at Wumaco Building in Bonifacio Global City.
The restaurant is quite simple and nondescript.
Based solely on photos I've seen online, the branch at Bonifacio Global City looks nicer with more attractive interiors.
Taiwanese cuisine is the restaurant's specialty.
While I was waiting for my orders, the restaurant gradually filled up with foreign Chinese customers and this section shows them all facing one direction, solo and glued to their phones.
For starters, an order of Taiwan Sausages.
The sausages were alright and nothing out of the ordinary.
Crispy Chop Chicken Noodles. I didn't expect two dishes in one menu item but I'm not complaining.
The broth was sumptuous and had that soothing effect. The noodles were fine and tasty, too.
I likewise enjoyed the crispy chicken. It was a bit on the salty side which I prefer.
It was time for some dessert after my nice meal.
This is Matcha Ice Cream with Red Bean Topping.
The delectable matcha ice cream is the star of this dish. It was smooth and very good.
The Taiwanese have made us milk tea crazy so I had to get one. I chose Triple Delight Milk Tea which contained pearl, nata and pudding.
The beverage was refreshing. Anyone could easily get used to this concoction especially during hot days.
I just had to take note of this signage in the toilet. With the influx of Mainland Chinese working in the country, I guess this makes sense. I've also seen Chinese mothers letting their toddlers pee just anywhere in Salcedo Village. As the saying goes, " There goes the neighbourhood. ".
