A Fun Kickstarter campaign from the people who brought us "Steven Spielberg and the Return to Film School"
I am so excited over this campaign. From the fun guys who brought us the award winning Steven Spielberg and the Return to Film School focus their talents on 'Star Trek Wars.'Star Trek Wars goes where no other fan film has gone before. Whether you're a Star Wars or Star Trek fan, we're pleased to invite you on our mission to create a tribute to BOTH classic franchises! With a fantastically original story to tell, our 20-minute comedy is the realization of the epic battle that has existed between Star Wars and Star Trek over the past 40 years.From what I've seen this is going to be INCREDIBLE and the quality looks amazing. Bringing the two fandoms that I care so much about and love equally, I'll be intrigued how they handle this potentially explosive project.
Check out the campaign details below but make sure you head over to the Kickstarter campaign, they've uploaded some of the score that they'll going to use which is inspired by John Williams and Michael Giacchino. Also they are in need of cos-players and extras for the project so if you have an appropriate costume make sure you contact the team to find out if you could be in the movie.

Synopsis: "After 40 years, George Lucas has retired from Star Wars but is having difficulty letting go. Meanwhile, Star Trek director J.J. Abrams, is cracking under the pressure of carrying on the legacy of Star Wars VII. As the rivalry builds between these moguls of space film history, the battle of Star Trek vs Star Wars will finally be decided once and for all.
Our Goals:
- Cast professional actors to accurately portray George Lucas, J.J. Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy and the entire supporting cast of over a dozen characters
- Shoot the film with a Red camera in cinema-quality 4K resolution
- Feed hundreds of cast, crew, and extras over 6 days of shooting
- Create cutting-edge computer graphics, sound design, and full musical score
- Release the film online in November 2015 to be enjoyed by every fan in the galaxy!
- Deliver the film to George Lucas, JJ Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy, and Gene Roddenberry's family as a thank-you to their lifetimes of work
Why Make This Film? 2015 is the year of Star Wars VII and 2016 is the year of Star Trek's 50th Anniversary. And for the first time ever, their stories will collide as JJ Abrams becomes the first director of both franchises. As fans ourselves, we want Star Trek Wars to go viral online and be embraced by fans of every kind!
Every aspect of Star Trek Wars will combine elements of both Star Wars and Star Trek! Check out some of our ideas:
Classic Trek and Iconic Star Wars: We will be taking our inspirations primarily from The Original Star Wars Trilogy and Star Trek: The Original Series. The characters, quotes, and famous hallmarks will all be here in clever new ways. And we love easter eggs too.
The Battle: The conflict of our film will culminate in an epic battle scene between Star Wars and Star Trek! From Jedi Knights and Star Fleet Officers, to Storm Troopers and Red Shirts, our choreography action sequence will have it all!
The Visuals: CGI, titles and transitions, and dynamic cinematography are all important visual hallmarks of both worlds. Expect to see all of this and more as we attempt to recreate these various visual styles. Plus, Lens Flares!
The Music: John Williams, Michael Giacchino, and Alexander Courage are all inspirations for our homage to the original music of Star Wars and Star Trek!
Star Trek Wars is a comedy, heartwarming drama, parody, homage, tribute, and a challenge unlike anything ever done before. It crosses genre borders and takes some serious risks. But they are the same challenges that both George Lucas and Gene Roddenberry faced in working to bring their grand visions to life. So we need your support! Ways that you can help include:
